YEREVAN. – Lendrush Zatikyan (48 kg) won the bronze medal—and achieved Team Armenia’s first medal - on the first competition day at the 2014 Sambo World Championship among Youth and Juniors, which are held from Wednesday to Saturday in Seoul, South Korea.
Armenia’s military athletes, on the other hand, entered the sambo mat on Friday and showed an excellent performance. Accordingly, Seyran Sahakyan (90 kg) captured a silver medal, whereas Grigor Mkhitaryan (52 kg) was declared world champion, the Armenian Sambo Federation informed
