The German national football squad have booked their place in the final of the 2014 FIFA World Cup. In their semifinal match, Germany demolished the host nation Brazil by an unbelievable score of 7-1. The match was played in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, where the hosts, the five-time World Cup winners Brazil, had not lost in thirty years.
This was the Brazilian national squad’s worst defeat in World Cup history. As a result of this convincing win, the three-time World Cup winners Germany will play in a World Cup final for the eighth time. On Wednesday’s semifinal, the Netherlands and Argentina will lock horns to book their place in the World Cup final against Germany on Sunday.
The losers of two semifinals will play each other on Saturday’s bronze-medal match.
