Movsisyan undergoes successful surgery

Armenian national football squad and FC Spartak Moscow (Russia) forward Yura Movsisyan on Wednesday underwent a surgery in Los Angeles, USA. In the words of Spartak team physician Mikhail Vardapetov, the 26-year-old player’s knee surgery went successfully, the club’s official website informs.  But the Armenian international will be unable to enter the pitch for Spartak for the remainder of this year.

To note, Yura Movsisyan had aggravated his knee-joint injury in Spartak’s recent Russian Premier League game against FC Zenit Saint Petersburg, and he was injected with painkillers to be able to play in his club’s last match against CSKA Moscow.

Movsisyan has scored twelve goals in sixteen matches so far for Spartak in the current season of the Russian Premier League. Together with Russian international and FC Rostov striker Artyom Dzyuba, Movsisyan is also the current top scorer of the league.
