YEREVAN. – GM Robert Hovhannisyan (Armenia) is leading after four rounds in the Karen Asrian Memorial chess tournament being held in Jermuk, Armenia, Armchess reports. The Armenian chess master has tallied a perfect 4 points, so far.
Vahe Baghdasaryan trails Hovhannisyan by half a point. Armenia’s representatives Hovhannes Gabuzyan, Levon Babujian, Artur Chibukhchian, Artashes Minasian, Samvel Ter-Sahakyan, Zaven Andriasian and Hovik Hayrapetyan, and Georgia’s representative David Arutinian have garnered 3 points, each. The tournament is held in nine rounds, and the winner of the event will be announced on June 24.
