Armenia’s Minasyan wins silver

Lifting a combined total of 403 kilograms, Gor Minasyan representing Armenia became a silver medalist in the +105 kg category at the 2013 IWF Junior World Weightlifting Championships that wrapped up in Lima, Peru.

In the Snatch and in the Clean & Jerk, Minasyan lifted 183 and 220 kilograms, respectively. In the combined total, however, Armenia’s representative lifted eight kilograms less than the winner from Georgia.   

Armenian weightlifter Karen Martirosyan, who represents Russia, came in third with a combined total of 385 kilograms.
