Midfielder for the Armenian national football team and the Russian club Akron Karlen Hovhannisyan spoke about the team's condition during the pre-match press conference held ahead of the Nations League Matchday 3 game against Cyprus.
"Playing three matches in eight days is tough, but the national team is ready; we are definitely aiming for a win, and we are physically prepared.
Every player is vital to the national team, and we feel the absence of any of them, but we are capable of replacing anyone and are working towards that.
After the defeat against Montenegro, the mindset is purely combative; the team is ready—a group of very talented players has been assembled, and it is a very good team. I feel that this team has a bright future," said Karlen Hovhannisyan.
In the first round of the Nations League, the Armenian team defeated Latvia 2–0, while in the second round, they lost 2–3 to Montenegro. The third-round match between Cyprus and Armenia will take place on October 2 in Nicosia, kicking off at 20:00 Armenia time.
