Manchester City executives could face up to 10 years in prison for Financial Fair Play violations, according to The Sun.
An independent commission appointed by the English Premier League previously found Manchester City guilty of financial irregularities spanning the 2009/2010 to 2017/2018 seasons.
The commission's findings may attract the attention of law enforcement and tax authorities. If a criminal case is opened following the investigation, club executives could face fraud charges, which carry a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.
Manchester City has the right to appeal the independent commission's findings and must do so by October 2.
