Lens won the French Super Cup. In the match held in Lens, the national cup winners defeated the champions, PSG, 1–0 (video).
The only goal was scored in the 32nd minute by 33-year-old French forward Florian Thauvin.
In the 39th minute, Lens was reduced to 10 men; 18-year-old French defender Kilian Antonio was sent off.
In the 87th minute, PSG's 24-year-old Portuguese defender Nuno Mendes received a red card.
Lens won the French Super Cup for the first time.
