Reigning FIFA World Cup champions Argentina's star forward Lionel Messi commented on their 3-2 comeback win against Egypt in the Round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup.
Messi, 39, scored a goal and made an assist in this match.
"I have a wonderful feeling. It was very difficult. We suffered again, but this World Cup is always difficult. Our team never gives up; it always fights until the last second. What Argentina did today was crazy," Messi was quoted as saying by the official X account of the Argentina national team.
In the quarterfinals, Argentina will face the winners of the Switzerland vs. Colombia clash in the Round of 16.
