Reigning FIFA World Cup champions Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni assessed the fitness of team captain and Inter Miami star forward Lionel Messi ahead of their 2026 World Cup Round of 16 match against Egypt.
"Messi is fine. He hasn't complained of anything despite playing a full 120 minutes in the last match at 39 years old. If he had any problem, he didn't tell me... he'll play tomorrow as usual," Scaloni said, ESPN reports.
The Argentina vs. Egypt match will be played Tuesday and will kick off at 20:00 Armenia time.
