The participants of the Women's Singles final have been decided in the tennis competition at the Paris Olympics.
The world's 21st ranked Donna Vekic (Croatia) defeated the world's 67th ranked Anna Schmiedlova (Slovakia) 6:4, 6:0 in the semifinals. The match lasted 1 hour and 6 minutes.
In the final, Vekic's opponent will be the 7th ranked player in the world, Zheng Qinwen (China), who had defeated the first ranked player in the world, Iga Swiatek (Poland), in their semifinals, with a score of 6:2, 7:5.
Swiatek and Schmiedlova will face each other for the bronze medal.
And final will be played on Saturday.
