Novak Djokovic, the 24-time Grand Slam champion, the second ranked player in the world, has reached the semifinals of the men’s singles tennis competition at the Paris Olympic Games.
In the quarterfinals, the Serbian star tennis beat the world's 11th ranked Stefanos Tsitsipas (Greece) 6:3, 7:6 (7:3) The match lasted 2 hours and 2 minutes.
In the semifinals, Djokovic's opponent will be the world's 16th ranked Lorenzo Musetti (Italy), who had defeated the world's fourth ranked player, the champion of the Tokyo Olympic Games, Alexander Zverev (Germany) in the quarterfinals.
The other pairing in the semifinals are the third ranked Carlos Alcaraz (Spain) and the 19th ranked Felix Auger-Aliassime (Canada).
The semifinal matches will be played Friday.
