Japan won its third gold medal at the Olympic judo tournament. Takanori Nagase faced Georgia's Tato Grigalashvili in the men's 81kg final and won 11-0.
Natsumi Tsunoda in the women's 48kg women's weight class and Hifumi Abe in the men's 66kg men's weight class also won titles for the Japanese judo team at the Paris Games.
Thanks to Takanori Nagase's gold medal, Japan again topped the overall medal standings with 7 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals.
China, in second place, has 6 gold, 6 silver and 2 bronze medals.
