Mariam Mkrtchyan (Armenia) finished second in the girls’ competition at the FIDE World Junior Under 20 Championships being held in India.
In the last round, Mkrtchyan defeated Rakshitta Ravi (India) and tallied 9.5 points.
The girls’ title was won by Divya Deshmukh (India), who garnered 10 points out of 11 possible.
Mariam Mkrtchyan did not suffer any defeat in this championship: 8 wins, 3 draws.
