Jasmine Paolini, ranked 15th in the world, reached the final of the French Open for the first time. The Italian tennis player defeated 17-year-old Russian Mirra Andreeva, ranked 38th in the world, 6-3, 6-1 in the semifinals.
Paolini's opponent in the final will be world number one player Iga Świątek of Poland, who defeated world number three Corey Gauff of the United States 6-2, 6-4.
The prize money at "Roland Garros" is 53.4 million euros.
