Armenia's representative Garik Karapetyan (102kg) became a silver medallist at the World Weightlifting Cup held in Thailand. The Armenian athlete lifted 401kg (185+216) in the combined weightlifting event. Armenia's other representative Samvel Gasparyan refused to wrestle.
The World Cup is a ranking event for the Olympic Games in Paris.
