Russian national footballer’s beautiful goal not enough to win (VIDEOS)

Sixteenth round of the Russian Premier League football kicked off at the stadium of FC Volga Nizhny Novgorod, where Volga played host to FC Spartak Moscow. The game ended in a 1-1 draw. 

Russian national team and Spartak midfielder Dmitri Kombarov pushed his club ahead with a beautiful strike in the 13th minute, but Russian striker Aleksandr Salugin brought Volga on level terms with a goal toward the end of the first half.        

 Armenian national football team and FC Volga forward Arthur Sarkisov, however, was not on his club’s roster for this match because he has not yet fully recovered from his injury.
