Croatian star midfielder Luka Modric of Real Madrid has set a club record, reports Marca.
Modric, 38, has become the most capped player in the history of Real after the age of 35.
Modric has made 161 appearances for this club after turning 35 years old.
As a result, he broke the respective record by retired Spanish goalkeeper Francisco Buyo, who played at Real between 1986 and 1997.
Modric has been playing for Real Madrid since 2012. His current contract with the club runs until June 2024.
