Liverpool do not qualify for Champions League for first time in 7 years

Liverpool will not play in the UEFA Champions League for the first time since the 2016/17 season.

Before the last round in the current season of the English Premier League, Liverpool have lost the chance to be in the top four, and therefore qualify for the Champions League.

In the 37th round, Manchester United beat Chelsea 4-1 and rose to third place, with 72 points, in the current Premier League standings. Newcastle United are fourth, with 70 points.

Liverpool is fifth, with 66 points, and as a result, they will play in the UEFA Europa League, to which Brighton, which are sixth, have also booked a spot.

And Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, and Brentford are vying for a spot in the UEFA Europa Conference League before the last round of the Premier League.
