In the penultimate round of the first stage of the FIDE Grand Prix, Armenia's former chess team leader Levon Aronian (USA) defeated Germany's Vincent Keymer with black pieces.
The game ended on move 35.
The Armenian grandmaster gained 4 points and is now the sole leader in group C.
In the last round Aronian will play Russia's Daniil Dubov.
The winner of the group will advance to the semi-finals.
