Real announce Sergio Ramos’ departure from club

Real Madrid have announced on their official website the departure of their seasoned Spanish defender Sergio Ramos.

They have announced that “an institutional act of tribute and farewell” to their captain Sergio Ramos will be held Thursday, which will be attended by Real president Florentino Perez.

Ramos will then appear before the media in a virtual press conference.

The footballer’s current contract with Real runs until June 30, but the parties have not reached an agreement on its extension.

Sergio Ramos had transferred from Sevilla to Real Madrid in 2005, where he has scored 101 goals and made 40 assists in 671 appearances so far, and won numerous national and international titles.
