In the first round of the group stage of UEFA Euro 2020, the Poland and Slovakia national teams competed in St. Petersburg where the Slovaks won 2-1 in Group E.
In the 18th minute, the Poland national team’s goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny kicked an own goal after the kick by Slovakia national team’s midfielder Robert Mak.
The Poles tied the score in the first minute of the second half after a goal scored by midfielder Karol Linetty.
The Poland national team played the last part of the match with 10 footballers. In the 62nd minute, defensive midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak was dismissed for receiving the second card. The Slovaks scored a goal after seven minutes. Milan Skriniar scored a goal in the gate protected by Schesni.
The Spain and Sweden national teams will play the second match of the first round of Group E on June 14 in Seville.
