A noteworthy incident occurred at Sunday’s second round group-stage clash between Switzerland and Lithuania in the European qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup.
Before the match kicked off in Switzerland, it turned out that one of the goalposts was 5-10 cm higher than required.
The organizers had to change this goalpost, due to which the game started 15 minutes late.
In that game, Switzerland had won 1-0.
You couldn't make this up.
