Oscar De La Hoya, the former world champion in six weight categories, has announced his return to the boxing ring, TMZ reports.
The 48-year-old American fighter announced that his next bout will take place on July 3.
The name of his opponent, however, is not known yet.
De La Hoya had his previous fight in 2008, losing by technical knockout to legendary Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao.
Oscar finished his legendary career with a 39 (30KOs)-6 record when he hung up the gloves back in 2008.
