Armenia’s top chess player Levon Aronian has advanced to the quarterfinals of the Opera Euro Rapid competition of the Meltwater Champions Chess Tour.
Aronian amassed 8.5 points out of possible 15 and took fourth place in the 15th round of the preliminary round of this online rapid chess tournament.
The prize fund of this competition is 100 thousand euros, and the winner will receive 30 thousand euros.
