Wayne Rooney, 35, ended his football career and has been appointed manager of Derby County, the football club’s press service reported, adding that the footballer’s contract ends in June 2023.
Rooney moved to Derby County as a player-coach during the 2020 winter transfer window.
Before this, Rooney was a member of Everton in 2018 and then moved to DC United.
Between 2004 and 2017, Rooney has played with Manchester United and has become a five-time champion of England and a winner of the Champions League.
