The president of Hayastan club, world champion of MMA Gokor Chivichyan announced at a press conference on Friday that he is not going to participate in the international tournament on Armfighting and K-1 which are to take place on Sunday.
“I am not going to start business in Armenia. I will not even think about it. I will help out my compatriots but I will never earn money here,” he said.
According to Chivichyan, Armightning has just started to develop in Armenia.
“I am cooperating with Armenia’s Armfighting federation for already 6 years. In Armenia’s only one branch of Armfighting – MMA, is developing. That school has good perspectives for further development. However, the level still does not meet international standards. But the sport does have future,” he stressed.
