Ronaldo will be able to play against Sweden, Portugal manager says

The leader of the Portuguese national team and Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo will be able to play in his country’s second round match against Sweden in the Nations League, according to the UEFA website.

The 35-year-old star footballer had missed Portugal’s first round match against Croatia due to an inflammation of his toe because of a bee sting.

"Ronaldo has already trained, he feels good, he will leave for Sweden with the team. He has no injuries; it’s just that the inflammation has to heal," said Portugal manager Fernando Santos.

Ronaldo trained with the main squad of his national team.

The Sweden-Portugal clash is slated for September 8.
