The Catalan police are confident that they will not be able to ensure security in Barcelona on December 18's Barcelona vs Real Madrid clash, La Sexta reported.
The police say they cannot guarantee the safe passage of the Real Madrid bus in Barcelona because of the lack of staff. Protest rallies are expected on this day in Catalonia.
Barcelona vs Real Madrid clash was to be held on October 26, but was postponed amid protests.
The Spanish Supreme Court convicted nine Catalan officials in October in connection with the referendum on the independence of Catalonia, held in 2017.
