By Khachik Chakhoyan

Armenian national football team’s former midfielder Samvel Melkonyan has severed his contract with PSFC Chernomorets Burgas of Bulgaria, and the 28-year-old footballer became a free agent now, Melkonyan himself told NEWS.am Sport.

In his words, several other Bulgarian clubs are interested in his services and his agent is currently working along these lines.

“A variety of clubs have made offers, but I cannot yet say as to where I will continue my career. Everything will become clear in a foreseeable future,” said Melkonyan.

To note, Samvel Melkonyan transferred from Armenian capital city Yerevan’s FC Mika to PSFC Chernomorets Burgas in 2011. Also, he played 29 international games as part of Armenia’s national squad and scored six goals.
