Ancelotti: We had to suffer for 90 minutes in Munich

The Italian manager of Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti, commented on their 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinals.

"We [i.e. Real] finished the first game well. I think there is still absolute equality in this confrontation. We had to suffer for 90 minutes in Munich. Everyone knows how difficult it is to play here. We have every chance to reach the finals.

At the beginning of the second half, we had a chance [to score], but we didn't use it, then we conceded two goals. The opponents looked the best, we didn't.

[Real's English midfielder Jude] Bellingham was not at his best level. After playing 60 minutes, he had muscle problems. I had to replace him.

[Real's Brazilian striker] Vinicius [Junior] played well. He has learned to move without the ball, to attack from deep. Vinicius is very cool-headed at the opponent's goalpost. He can further improve and become an excellent striker," Ancelotti said, Marca reported.

The second leg between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich will be played in Madrid on May 8.
