The Armenian Weightlifting Championship ended at the Olympic Reserve Sports College in Yerevan. On February 10, athletes competing in 96 kg, 102 kg, 109 kg and 109+ kg weight categories took to the platform.
David Hovhannisyan (165+201) became the champion in the weight category up to 96 kg.
Ara Aghanyan took the first place in the weight category up to 102 kg. He lifted 340 kg (150+190).
The winner in the weight category up to 109 kg was Petros Petrosyan - 368 kg (158+210).
The champion in the 109+ kg weight category was Simon Martirosyan - 400 kg (180+220).
After the Armenian Championship the weightlifters will have a 14-day training camp in Tsakhkadzor and will prepare for the European Championship.
