Italian Fiorentina captain Davide Astori has died at the age of 31, the Goal reported.
The 31-year-old was staying in an hotel in Udine to prepare for Sunday's match against Udinese. The match was later postponed.
Astori reportedly died of a heart attack during the night.
Astor was playing for Italian Cagliari and Rome.
