The 24-year-old midfielder of Latvia international squad and Spartak Edgar Vardanyan hospitalized in critical condition, said the head coach of METTA Andris Riherts. Latvian footballer Vardanyan played for METTA team from 2010 to 2016, and then moved on to Spartak.
Edgar Vardanyan played four matches for Latvia national team in May this year. In the current championship of Latvia the midfielder appeared in 19 games and scored a goal in the qualifying round of the Champions League.
