2018 World Cup qualifiers: Brazil achieve another win

First round matches were played Thursday evening in the South American qualifiers for the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

Brazil, who already have qualified for the 2018 World Cup in Russia, defeated Ecuador at home by a score of 2-0.

Argentina and Uruguay played a goalless draw in Montevideo, the capital city of Uruguay.

Chile suffered an unexpected 0-3 defeat at home against Paraguay.

And Colombia played a goalless draw in an away match against Venezuela.

Brazil still top the South American group, Colombia are second, Uruguay are third, whereas Chile and Argentina are fourth and fifth, respectively.
