R.S.C. Anderlecht (Belgium) and Romanian national football squad midfielder Alexandru Chipciu spoke about their national team’s forthcoming 2018 World Cup qualifier against Armenia.
“We are stronger than the Armenian team, but they also have good footballers,” SPORT.RO quoted Chipciu as saying. “I’ve played against [Armenian national squad captain and midfielder] Henrikh Mkhitaryan with Anderlecht in the Europa League. He was the best in Manchester United [(England)].
“[But] we are determined to beat Armenia and Montenegro and fight for the second [qualifying] place [in our group].”
The Romania vs. Armenia match will be played Friday in Bucharest, the capital city of Romania. The kickoff is at 10:45pm Armenia time.
