2016 Summer Olympics silver medalist Simon Martirosyan (Armenia) won gold at the 2017 Junior World Championships of weightlifting, which wrapped up in the Japanese capital city of Tokyo.
The Armenian athlete lifted a combined weight of 426 kilograms in the men’s +105kg competition, lifting a total of 20 kilograms more than the Georgian weightlifter that placed second.
