YEREVAN. – Artur Petrosyan on Thursday was formally presented as new manager of the national football team of Armenia.
President of the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA), Ruben Hayrapetyan, introduced the 44-year-old specialist.
“In the case of properly organizing the work of our [national] squad, in the case of properly directing the coach, we will have success,” the FFA president noted, in particular. “There will be a generation change; there will be a new style of play in the squad.
“A good game, a dedicated game needs to be required from coach. I believe in and I trust our [new] coach.”
Artur Petrosyan, who previously coached the youth team of FC Zürich (Switzerland), has signed a 2-year contract with the FFA.
He was in the coaching staff of the Armenian national team during their Euro 2016 qualifiers.
