Armenia national football team and FC Spartak Moscow (Russia) forward Yura Movsisyan traveled to Rome where he underwent an arthroscopy of his right knee-joint.
It will take about two months for the 26-year-old player to make a full recovery, Spartak official website reported.
Yura Movsisyan had first felt the knee-joint pain during Armenia’s friendly against Germany on June 6.
In early September, Armenia will kick off their Euro 2016 qualification campaign.
