Eduard Spertsyan, captain of the Armenian national team and midfielder for Al-Ahli, sustained an Achilles tendon injury during a match in the fourth round of the AFC Champions League, reports the "InsideYAN" Telegram channel.
On November 2, Al-Ahli played to a 0–0 draw against Qatar’s Al-Sadd.
Eduard Spertsyan will be sidelined for approximately one month and will not be available to assist the team, led by head coach Yeghishe Melikyan, in the final two matches of the Nations League group stage against Cyprus and Latvia.
