YEREVAN. – All of Armenia’s five representatives achieved medals at the international boxing tournament in Moscow, which was held in memory of Olympic champion Valeri Popenchenko.
Tigran Armenakyan (81 kg) received silver, and Baregham Harutyunyan (52 kg), Gagik Gevorgyan (60 kg), Karen Tonakanyan (60 kg), and heavyweight Hakob Melkumyan captured bronze medals at the event.
These boxers are the reserves of Armenia’s national boxing team, the National Olympic Committee of Armenia Press Secretariat informs.
