In recognition of Uruguay national football squad and Liverpool F.C. (England) striker Luis Suárez winning the England Football Supporters’ Federation Player of the Year 2013, award sponsor William Hill donated £10,000 to the charity of his choice, Footymatters reports.
Suárez, 26, chose the Teleton charity in Uruguay that looks after children with neuro-musculoskeletal disabilities.The Teleton Foundation operates two pediatric rehabilitation centers making specialist treatment available for the children that require it in Uruguay.The Uruguay international commented; “I am delighted to help the Teleton initiative and I am very grateful to William Hill for their donation to the charity.”
