KRASNODAR. – “If I am able to stand out at the Krasnodar derby, I will celebrate my goal in a way that the Krasnodar stadium had never seen anything like it.”
Armenian national football squad’s and FC Krasnodar Kuban’s Brazilian midfielder Marcos Pizzelli said the aforementioned.
The 29-year-old player spoke about his club’s forthcoming Russian Premier League match against his former team, FC Kuban Krasnodar.
“Such games are very special; emotions, exciting game. The sides dream solely of victory. None of the sides wants a draw at the derby. The standings in the table also do not matter. That’s why you always come out on to the pitch with the desire to beat the opponent.
“I respect Kuban and its supporters very much. Many of the Kuban players are my friends. For the beginning, however, you should be included in the starting lineup of team and, subsequently, score a goal,” FC Krasnodar Kuban official website quotes Pizzelli as saying.
To note, Marcos Pizzelli played for FC Kuban Krasnodar in the 2012/13season and scored eight goals in thirty-one appearances.
