Henrikh Mkhitaryan who has reportedly signed a four-year contract with Borussia has been a target of the German club for a long period of time.
A source close to Mkhitaryan told NEWS.am Sport that Borussia manager Jurgen Klopp personally talked on phone with Mkhitaryan. The manager showed great interest in the midfielder and said he would like to see Henrikh in his team.
“Henrikh, I’ve heard you speak five languages, German will be the sixth,” he said in a phone conversation.
As reported earlier, Mkhitaryan will leave for Germany on July 8 to join his new club.
