The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is likely to drop several sports from the 2020 Olympic program during the two-day session starting on Tuesday.
These disciplines may include badminton, table tennis, as well as pentathlon, where the representatives from China dominate traditionally.
The members of the Executive Committee will discuss a report submitted by the Commission on the Olympic program, touching upon large number of different aspects, including television ratings, ticket sales, the issue of doping and the popularity of the sport worldwide, BBC reported.
