Russian tennis star Safin to play in hockey charitable match

Russian tennis player and former champion Marat Safin will participate in a hockey charitable match on Apr. 1 in Geneva, where ‘Russian stars’ and ‘world stars’ will play, Newsru.com reports.

Besides Safin, Russian hockey team will feature Pavel Bure, Vyacheslav Bykov, Valeri Kamensky, and Sergei Makarov.

‘World hockey team’ will feature Finish Jari Kurri, Swedish Mats Näslund, as well as Swiss tennis player and Olympic champion Marc Rosset.

Funds will be directed to the development of the junior hockey in Russia.
