Inter Milan head coach Cristian Chivu commented on the 1–0 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk in the third round of the Champions League league phase. The goal for the Milan side was scored by Brazilian midfielder Carlos Augusto, with an assist from former Armenian national team midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
"We know we can’t afford to make mistakes if we want to finish in the top eight. The changes we made in the second half gave us energy. We needed a win, and getting it this way gives us even more confidence.
Mkhitaryan is crucial for us in this group. He gives us a helping hand, just like everyone else," Chivu is quoted as saying by the official UEFA website.
Inter will play their next Champions League match on November 3rd, away against the Dutch side Feyenoord.
