The Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) was the only one of Europe's 55 national federations not to support UEFA's call for reforms within FIFA, the UEFA website reports.
Representatives of the 55 member federations are set to meet in Berlin. With the exception of Azerbaijan, all are demanding major changes within FIFA, including a change in leadership.
A UEFA statement notes that European national associations no longer trust FIFA's current leadership and that structural changes alone will not suffice.
The organization believes that the federation needs a new president—a respected individual possessing deep knowledge of football, a vision for development, experience, and the confidence of representatives from various regions.
