The 41-year-old forward for the Saudi club Al-Nassr Cristiano Ronaldo could face a fine and a six-month suspension for leaving the Portuguese national team camp without authorization, according to A Bola.
Under the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) disciplinary regulations, a player who leaves a national team training session, match, or event without permission is subject to a suspension ranging from one to six months and a fine of between €500 and €1,000.
It is worth noting that Ronaldo left the national team camp on September 30 after head coach Jorge Jesus informed him that he would not be in the starting lineup for the Nations League match against Denmark. The forward later commented on his departure.
