Argentina head coach Lionel Scaloni has revealed who will become the national team's new captain following the departure of 39-year-old Inter Miami forward Lionel Messi.
"Cristian Romero will be the captain. Emiliano Martinez will be the second captain, and Lautaro Martinez the third," The Touchline quotes Scaloni as saying.
On October 6, Messi will play his farewell match for the Argentina national team against Benin. The game will take place at the Monumental Stadium in Buenos Aires.
